Hendy Hendarto is a graduate of Universitas Airlangga, Medical Faculty. Since 1997 he worked at Obstetrics and Gynecology Department Universitas Airlangga. He underwent training in laparoscopic surgery and IVF at Sydney, Nijmegen Netherlands and Ghent Belgium. He has a position as chairman of Dr Soetomo Hospital IVF, editor in chief of Majalah Obstetri and Ginecologi, Indonesian Representative of CAMS International Menopause Society, and President of Indonesian Association for In Vitro Fertilization.

Currently, he serves as chairman of Doctoral Degree in Medical Sciences, Universitas Airlangga. The main research interests are endometriosis, infertility and Maternal Health.
