Short Biography
Jongkil Joo is the Professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pusan National University School of Medicine, Busan, Korea and Department Chief of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pusan National University Hospital, Busan, Korea. He graduated from Pusan National University School of Medicine with M.D. degree in 2000, completed his Ob/Gyn residency training at Pusan National University Hospital in 2005 and worked as a clinical fellow at the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pusan National University Hospital until 2012. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pusan National University School of Medicine in 2012 and became a professor in 2021. His main research fields are pathophysiology for endometriosis and infertility. He received numerous awards including the best oral presentation award at the annual congress of the Korean society for reproductive medicine 2012 and the Korean Society of Assisted Reproduction in 2012. He has published more than 30 peer reviewed journals and has authored several chapters in Ob/Gyn textbooks and presented more than 40 times in both Korean and International academic meetings.
