Professor Tremellen is a sub-specialist gynaecologist (reproductive endocrinology and infertility), Medical Director of Repromed and Professor of Reproductive Medicine at Flinders University. He has an active research interest in the fields of male infertility, implantation failure, and the impact of nutrition on reproduction. His latest research is focused on investigating the impact of the gut microbiome on male and female reproductive function. Professor Tremellen’s seminal 2012 paper on the Dysbiosis of Gut Microbiota (DOGMA) theory was the first to propose a link between the gut microbiome, metabolic endotoxaemia related inflammation and PCOS.
