Date: Saturday, 30 April 2022
Time: 18:30 – 19:00 GMT+8
Format: Live session
This session is conducted by Organon
Ethnicity strongly influences the prevalence of certain gynecologic diseases. The relevance of ethnic disparities is being questioned in all fields of medicine, and these factors must also be considered predictors of IVF outcomes.
Many studies have found Asian ethnicity to be associated with decreased pregnancy rates and poor IVF outcomes compared to Caucasian, whereas others have found no difference. This decreased pregnancy outcome may be attributed to differences in the ovarian reserve, or it may indicate fundamental biological, genetic, nutritional, lifestyle or environmental differences in ethnicities. This meet- the-expert session will discuss both evidence and clinical experience including factors related to IVF outcome among different ethnicities and its relevance for Asia Pacific region.
