Dr. Thomas A Masterson is an assistant professor of Urology at the University of Miami and Bruce W Carter VA Medical center in Miami Florida. Originally from Pennsylvania, where he earned a BS in biology and competed as a 4-year varsity rower at Temple University, he moved to Miami to earn his medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in urology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida. He continued his training and completed a fellowship in sexual medicine and male infertility at the University of Miami. Dr. Masterson serves as a reviewer for several urological journals including the Journal of Sexual Medicine, Fertility and Sterility, Andrology and Gold Journal of Urology. He is a committee chair for the Society of Male Reproductive Urologists. His research interests include the effects of testosterone therapy on reproduction, treatments for pyronines disease, and improving outcomes in male fertility.
