He was born in Malatya. He started his academic career in 1985 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hacettepe University, became Associate Professor in 1988 and Professor in 1995. He chaired the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Department of Hacettepe University for 10 years; Established gynecological endoscopy, IVF, andrology and menopause departments. He had the opportunity to work in the fields of reproductive medicine, assisted reproductive techniques, microsurgery and endoscopic surgery in many universities and important centers abroad.
