Dr. William J. Huang’s clinical expertise is on male reproductive medicine and andrological surgery. His surgical interests included performing micro-TESE for sperm extraction, microsurgical vasectomy reversal, vaso-epididymostomy, microsurgical varicocele repair, and correction of Peyronie’s disease. He treats hypogonadism in males, including patients with aging, congenital cases, such as Klinefelter’s syndrome, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. He also treats patients with erectile dysfunction of various causes. His primary research focus is on alteration of hormone environment and disorders of spermatogenesis. He has innovative ideas in treating patients with non-obstructive azoospermia, such as introducing micro-TESE and real-time testicular smear as diagnostic tools to maximize the chance of embryo transfer and minimize the unnecessary risks to both male and female partners.
